Coaches and school leaders can enhance their effectiveness through the Center's training and certification opportunities in the evocative coaching method.

That's the promise of the Center's robust, 13-session training program for coaching effectiveness, which unlocks the principles and practices of Evocative Coaching. The classes take place in a virtual classroom such that anyone with a telephone or a SKype connection can participate from anywhere. It is convenient and effective.

The spring session will launch on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at 8 PM Eastern US Time. We will meet every Wednesday, excluding the fourth of July, through August 1, 2012. The classes are 90-minutes in length (apart from the first class, which is 2-hours). More sections will be added as registrations increase.

The regular cost of the program, $895 per person, is reduced by $100 during the early-bird period, which ends April 4, 2012. That comes to less than $40 per training hour! We encourage districts, divisions, and buildings to enroll cohorts to go through the training together. Register as many people as you like (change the quantity in the shopping cart) using our Secure Server. Convenient and affordable 3-month payment plans are also available.

Participants in the program become members of the Evocative Coaching Groupsite, a virtual communicty of practice, and become eligible to receive up to a 60-hour Certificate of Completion. Those holding Easy Payment Planthe 60-hour certificate can then apply for coach certification through the Center for School Transformation, as either a "Teacher Development Coach" or a "School Leader Coach," as well as other coach-certifying organizations.

Does this training make a difference? Here is what one trainee, a staff development coordinator in a city school system, had to say about the experience:

"Even though I have been coaching teachers for 20 years, I have learned so much from the Evocative Coaching Training Program. The depth of this practice really resonates with me. I have found the Evocative Coaching model to be a fusion of so many aspects of good practice and human relations. I am convinced that this could positively transform schools, changing what we have come to believe about education."
